Roskilde Festival has quietly introduced a new rule without announcing it to the press or the guests, but one which has significance to almost everyone attending the festival. This year's festival will be the first one where you will NOT be allowed to bring your own beer / wine / spirits to the festival area in an open cup/container.

"It damaged our sales" is what spokeswoman Christina Bilde told the press earlier today.

This means that you will have to buy all your beverages inside the festival area at ridiculous 36kr per pint.

You are still allowed to bring empty bottles if you want to re-fill on water inside the festival area.
