Kenai call it a day

While doing a bit of research before sitting down to write a review of an album titled "Hail The Escapist" by a young British band by the name of Kenai, I saw that they had actually called it a day a few weeks ago.

"With a title such as this one, a blog can only really be announcing 1 of 2 things. Either our album has gone multi-platinum and we have an 8 month world tour coming up, or that we have decided to call time on Kenai. Following on from Dan's blog, the mystery's gone from this one.

We are calling Kenai a day.

The last 12 months has been a bit of a rollercoaster for the band, amazing highs and some pretty nasty lows. Recording an album that took 14 months to get ready and released, cancelled tours and gigs, a good amount of packed shows and bad amount of empty shows. Some would say its par for the course of being in a band, but a lot goes on behind the scenes. Needless to say, it's taken its toll on us and this is the result.

We have met some truly amazing people on this journey and had some experiences that we wouldn't trade for anything. However, we all feel that we cannot take Kenai any further and are doing the right thing in moving on. All of us will continue to be involved with music, and there will be one final blog coming with the last update of what will be coming your way, however, as with the MJ film, This Is It.

We want to thank you from the bottom of our collective heart for the support, time and interest you have poured into Kenai, and we are sad to see it end."
