One day, whilst watching something incredibly manly, I accidentally sat down on the TV remote causing the channel to switch from that manly program to something called "Gossip Girl". And, because of my herculean strength, I broke the remote, meaning I couldn't change back the channel. Oddly enough, this ordeal reoccurred at the same time every week during the remainder of Gossip Girl's season. And then again for the next season. Please don't dock me any Man Points.

Why is this relevant? Taylor Momsen, who portrays Jenny Humphrey on that show, has her own band. I know what you're thinking: "an actress turned pop-star isn't uncommon, and certainly isn't worthy of a mention on Rockfreaks." 16 year old Taylor Momsen isn't your average actress-turned-wannabe-pop-star though. She has an actual (credible?) band. They are called "The Pretty Reckless"; they cite the likes of Nirvana and The Beatles as influences; they've signed to Interscope Records and will playing the entire Warped Tour this year. They are worth a listen.
