Vampire Weekend are not a band that are fazed by their success or their large sales figures though, as frontman Ezra Koenig explains:

"It's exciting, but you're number one for a week and then you're not. Even with a number one there's still plenty of people who've never heard of you. There's so much to do. To be number one versus number three or number five, that's the luck of the draw. Our day-to-day has changed so little. It's not like now the glitz and glamour surrounds us."
