Remember Dropping Daylight? They had that one album called "Brace Yourself", that was kind of alternative/pop punk. Well, they've changed their name to "Kidnap Kings".

After a long year of writing, recording...our new record is nearing the finish line. We just wanted to shoot out a quick message to everyone who has been so patient for new music and clear up a couple things so there is no confusion.

After taking some time and really re-inventing our own identity we've decided to start from scratch and approach this record as a new band. We feel like different people...the music feels better than anything we've done in the past...and the more we worked on this record the more it felt like the beginning of something new...rather than the continuation of something else.

Our new band is called Kidnap Kings and the record we're JUST about finished with is called "Flashing Lights and Sound". We're putting up the title track on the myspace to give everyone a little taste. We will have a lot of updates and new info in the coming weeks...so check in with us and let us know what you think!
