So the last year or so has seen the reformation of Atheist, Cynic, Pestilence, Nocturnus, Carcass, Massacre, At The Gates, Possessed, Asphyx and countless other extreme metal bands but the one name many requested has finally joined the list: Gorguts. The Candian tech-death legends (largely due to 1998's "Obscura") have reformed around guitarist/vocalist Luc Lemay with work having already begun on an as-yet-untitled fifth album. Expect to see more news on this and a likely tour at some point throughout 2009.
