Saosin singer rushed to hospital

The following was posted on a bulletin from the bands myspace this evening:

On Saturday night (28th April) Cove Reber, lead singer of US rock band Saosin, was raced to hospital straight after the bands barnstorming performance at the Give It A Name show in Earls Court. Having felt a little unwell before the show, it soon became apparent that Cove needed urgent medical treatment when he began to vomit profusely within minutes of leaving the stage.

He was immediately placed on an IV drip at the venues medical centre and when his condition deteriorated he was taken straight to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital where he was treated for gastro-intestinal problems. He required four IV bags and was kept in overnight, being released yesterday afternoon.

Unfortunately Cove was still too unwell to perform at last nights Give It A Name show in Birmingham. Saosin would like to apologise to their fans who were expecting to see them there, but hope they understand that it was impossible for them to perform under the circumstances.

However the bands own headline gig tonight in Glasgow will go ahead, as will the rest of this weeks shows. They are:

May 2nd: Academy 3, Manchester (headline show)

May 3rd: Cockpit, Leeds (headline show)

May 4th: Metro, London (headline show)
