The organisers at Manchester Punk Festival think that there is much more to a good festival than music and they are always eager to celebrate other expressive art forms. Two of their main ways of doing so are through our Comedy and Poetry stages.

Red Redmond, of Dead Cat Comedy fame, has put together another fantastic lineup of some of the finest comedians around. This will be the third year of the comedy stage and it has become a real crowd favourite.

The 2022 comedy stage will feature sets from; Andrew O'Neill, Rachel Jackson, Red Redmond, Sully O'Sullivan, James Meehan, Black Liver, Jack Evans, Ewan Desmerais, Tom King, Jenny Hart, Tony Basnett, Jez Brown, Bobbie-Ann Jones, Anna Thomas and Liam Bolton.

After the success of 2019’s Punk Poetry stage, the host, Henry Raby has amassed another gang of punky wordy performers for 2022. This includes Bridget Hart, Paul Case, Sophie Sparham, Crow Rudd, Henry Raby and Suky Goodfellow: Grim Folk-Punk Tales.

Comedy and poetry will take place on the Saturday and Sunday of MPF2022.
