Out of the blue, System Of A Down have released two new singles — “Protect the Land” and “Genocidal Humanoidz” — both of which can be heard below. They represent the first material to arrive from the Armenian-American alternative metal titans since their 2005 efforts “Mezmerize” and “Hypnotize” and were written in order to cast awareness on the reignited military conflict between Azerbaijan and its autonomous region of Artsakh / Nagorno-Karabakh, which is controlled by ethnic Armenians.
