Roadburn Festival 2020 makes first announcements

Posted by AP on 20/08/19

Roadburn Festival has unveiled not one but two curators for its 2020 line-up: Emma Ruth Rundle, who will assemble her artists of choice under the banner “The Gilded Cage”, as well as James Kent (of Perturbator fame).

This first announcement from the 2020 edition of the festival also includes lifting a veil on three commissioned performances that will take place there next year. The first of these unites the aforementioned Kent with Cult Of Luna’s Johannes Persson, while the second will bring together Bismuth and Vile Creature for a one-off concert dubbed “A Hymn of Loss and Hope”. The final show will be created by Jo Quail and is titled “The Cartographer”.

And last but not least, Roadburn will welcome back Julie Christmas for a solo concert, following her triumphant “Mariner” performance with Cult Of Luna at festival in 2018.

Roadburn will take place between April 16th and April 19th in the Dutch city of Tilburg, with tickets set to go on sale on September 24th. For more information, check the official Facebook event.
