The legendary Danish heavy metallers of Mercyful Fate have been revealed as one of the headliners of the 2020 edition of the Copenhell festival, marking their first official return to the stage in two decades with a brand new massive stage production.

The band will perform with the line-up featured on their 1999-album “9”, which includes Kim Bendix Petersen (aka. King Diamond) on vocals, Hank Shermann & Mike Wead on guitars, Bjarne T. Holm behind the drumkit, and Joey Vera filling in on bass. The setlist, meanwhile, will focus on their “very first mini LP”, as well as 1983's “Melissa” and 1984's “Don't Break the Oath” albums.

Copenhell will take place between June 17th and June 20th next summer, with more details to be provided soon.
