L'Acéphale to release first new album in a decade in April

Posted by AP on 25/01/19

Portland, OR-based avant-garde black metal group L’Acéphale will release a new self-titled album — their first since 2009’s “Stahlhartes Gehäuse” — through Eisenwald Records on April 19th. It was recorded over the course of six years at various locations, with the final mixing taking place at the Hellhole studio by Gabriel Espinoza. The record was then mastered by Gus Elg at Sky Onion in the band’s hometown.

While more information about the album is still pending, L’Acéphale was recently confirmed for a performance at the iconic Roadburn Festival in Tilburg, Netherlands, where they are scheduled to play on Friday, April 12th. The event is completely sold out — however, keep an eye on the official Facebook event in case anything changes.

We plan to attend again this year, so you can look forward to an extensive feature article covering all aspects of the festival, to be posted shortly afterward.
