Dimmu Borgir & more to perform at Copenhell 2019

The first artists for the line-up of Copenhell’s 10th Anniversary edition have been unveiled this morning. Although no headliners are included as of yet, the package does feature a couple of heavyweight names in Norway’s symphonic black metallers Dimmu Borgir, who will thus play their first concert in Denmark in nearly a decade, and the Red Lion, PA-based hard rock group Halestorm. Both bands released new albums this year, with the former’s “Eonian” reviewed by us here.

Moving down the bill, there is the Swiss folk metal tribe Eluveitie, as well as Demons & Wizards, a long-standing power metal supergroup uniting Blind Guardian’s Hansi Kürch with Iced Earth’s Jon Schaffer.

Those looking for something more extreme will be pleased to find the Danish death metal’s shooting stars BAEST added to the bill along with Knoxville, TN’s heaviest deathcore dealers Whitechapel.

And finally, as something quite unique, the festival has booked the New Zealand-born teenage groove/thrash metal outfit Alien Weaponry to give the older and more established artists at the festival a run for their money’s worth.

Copenhell takes place between June 19th and June 22nd at the Refshaleøen industrial area of Copenhagen, Denmark. Tickets are set to go on sale soon — keep an eye on the official Facebook event for updates.
