Protest The Hero cancels summer European touring plans

Protest The Hero have been forced to cancel their summer European touring plans as a result of vocalist Rody Walker suffering from issues with his voice. The Canadian progressive metal outfit was planning to perform their 2008 album, “Fortress”, in its entirety to celebrate its 10th Anniversary this year — however, the cancelled dates will not be rescheduled. Instead, the band will focus on writing and recording the long-awaited follow-up to 2014’s “Volition” and will hold off on touring until then.

The cancellation has an unfortunate side-effect that Protest The Hero’s touring partner, Norma Jean, also now looks unlikely to hit European shores this summer to play their 2006 record, “Redeemer”, in full. Both artists were among the highlights of this summer’s Tech-Fest line-up, which our writer KW plans to check out in Newark, United Kingdom between July 05th and July 09th.

You can read a statement from Protest The Hero on their official Facebook page.
