Komos Festival 2018 is cancelled

Komos Festival has been forced to cancel this year’s edition, which was to take place at the Kongens Have park in central Copenhagen on June 22nd and June 23rd. The cancellation is due to a decision by Fredningsnævnet, which handles the preservation of historic sites in Denmark, to stop allowing ‘fenced in’ events at the park.

As a plaster for any disappointed fans, a handful of the artists that were to perform at the festival, including Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, have been booked for other venues around Denmark that weekend. The aforementioned singer-songwriter and his band will now play at Posten in Odense on June 22nd, with more information available in the concert’s official Facebook event.

The festival intends to return with a new location in 2019.
