Amager Bio has announced plans to rebuild some of its elements this year, which means that the Copenhagen venue will be closed from March 01st to November 15th while construction takes place.

Once the project is completed, the venue will have a completely new entrance, new single wardrobe, as well as more toilets for both sexes. The artist/production area, meanwhile, will receive more backstage rooms and bathrooms, as well as a sound isolation door between the stage and backstage.

Amager Bio will still organise concerts during the closed period at other locations such as its sister venue BETA, Den Grå Hal in Christiania, and Kulturværftet in Helsingør — all under the banner ”Amager Bio on Tour”.
