Manchester Punk Festival 2018 announces 2nd wave of acts

Manchester Punk Festival announces its second wave of bands for 2018, which includes the return of skacore favourites Random Hand and Beat The Red Light from hiatus and the highly political Culture Shock, one of the original political UK ska punk bands with a career spanning across four decades.


MPF are also very excited to welcome The Tuts, an indie punk trio from West London, to MPF for the first time. They will be joined by the incredibly popular folk act, Roughneck Riot. Chewing On Tinfoil are making the trip over from Dublin for a rare performance and Sam Russo will be returning to MPF after performing solo set in 2016. This time he's coming back with a full band under the moniker RUSSO.


Other announced acts include Darlington's In Evil Hour, Chicago will be melodic hardcore favourites Counterpunch, Scottish punks, PMX, Gothenburg's Rebuke, heavy dub punks Atterkop, Keighley post hardcore outfit Sounds Of Swami, plus Happy Accidents, Dead Drummer, Tom Aylott and Freddy Fudd Pucker.


Previously announced bands include: Propagandhi, Wonk Unit, The Bennies, Svetlanas, Antillectual, Mobina Galore, Uniforms, Christmas, Spoilers, The Minor Discomfort Band, Pizzatramp, Nervus, Forever Unclean, Fresh, Natterers, Rotten Foxes, All Aboard, Darko, Egos At The Door, Drones, Regret, Wolfbeast Destroyer, Captain Hotknives, Shankland, The Lab Rats, Foxes Faux, Incisions, Aerial Salad and Throwing Stuff.

Manchester Punk Festival is happening 19th-21st April 2018 across a number of venues in Manchester City Centre, including Gorilla, Rebellion, The Bread Shed, Zombie Shack, Underdog, Font and The Thirsty Scholar.
