New venue to open in Amager
Posted by HES on 05/04/16
Previous NextThe owners of the recently shut down "TAP1" in Copenhagen are now ready to announce, that they will be opening a new venue in the end of 2016 or the start of 2017. The venue is located in Kløvermarken, a green area of the most northern part of Amager.
The venue will fill the void as two crucial mid-size venues are closing down: Falconer for renovation and Tap1 for good. The capacity of the venue will be around 5000, making it the new optimal spot for artists like Tenacious D or The 1975, that usually sell-out in the smaller venues.

For a while there was talk about Valbyhallen being transformed into a music venue - it is yet unclear if the Municipality of Copenhagen will be moving along with these plans after today's announcements.
