Slipknot Bassist Alex Venturella Rushed To Hospital Mid-Set

Posted by MAK on 03/08/15

Alex Venturella, who was recently confirmed as the Iowa metaller's new bassist and replacement for the late Paul Gray was rushed to hospital just 5 songs into Slipknot's set at The Xfinity Theater in Hartford, Connecticut on August 2nd.

After a 20 minute interval while the bassist was put into an ambulance, frontman Corey Taylor comes back to the stage and explains the situation:

"I’m sorry to say that our bass player, Alex – something happened. I’m not sure what happened. He’s going to the hospital as we speak. I want you to all make some noise for him – send him some fucking love."

Stating that Venturella would want the show to go on, Slipknot continue their set after a few changes and kick things back off with classic song "Wait & Bleed".

Below is some fan footage of the incident, and We at Rockfreaks.net would like to express our best wishes of recovery for the bassist.
