Bring Me The Horizon to release new album in September
Posted by AP on 22/07/15
Previous NextBring Me The Horizon have set "That's the Spirit" as the title to their new album, which they hope to release on September 11th via their new label Columbia Records. The record was recorded at the Black Rock Studios on the Greek island of Santorini, with the band's keyboardist/vocalist Jordan Fish handling production. You will be able to hear another new song from it called "Throne" as well as watch the accompanying music video tomorrow, July 23rd.
Speaking on the effort, vocalist Oli Sykes offered:
It’s a celebration of depression, a way of making light of it. ‘That’s The Spirit’ – it’s quite a depressing phrase when you think about it – the sort of thing you only ever use when you know there’s no positive answer to the situation.
Regarding the directional shift the group has undertaken for this record, Sykes added:
This time round, the challenge wasn’t just for people to be impressed that a screamer’s learned to sing. We had to come back with something that would be impressive for people who had no idea of the history of the band.
