Psychedelic stoner rockers Sungrazer have announced that they are splitting up. The decision has been made because of guitarist/vocalist Rutger Smeets' previous announcement wherein he stated his intent to leave the band:

Dear all,

After having played many years with Sungrazer with great joy I have come to the conclusion that there’s no more future in this band for me. That’s why I quit Sungrazer and so, unfortunately, I can’t come to DunaJam. I’m sorry about this and I want to thank you for the great moments we shared.

There were several rumours going around stating that Sungrazer would continue without Rutger Smeets but as it turns out, they weren't true.
