Danish metal-zine Blastbeast.dk has struck a partnership with the Copenhagen venue Pumpehuset and Anders Bøtter of the "Sort Søndag" radio show of DAB channel DR P6 to focus on and kickstart up-and-coming Danish metal bands.

The concept is called "The New Shit", and will feature a presentation of a new band in the Danish up-and-coming metal scene every two months, complete with a biography, description of their music, pictures, videos, and other promotional material. The band will also receive airplay on the "Sort Søndag" show as part of their "Undergrunden Ukrudt" concept, as well as be given a support slot for a concert featuring bigger, more established metal bands.

In December 2013, there will be a showcase at Pumpehuset, where all 6 bands that have been selected over the year will play a concert.

If you would like to submit your band to "The New Shit", you can send a demo and any accompanying promo material to BLASTBEASTUPCOMING@hotmail.dk. The only requirements are:

- You may not have an existing record deal.

- The material has to be of a quality that can be sent to radio for airplay, as well as to record labels for consideration.

- It must be metal (all subgenres included).

The first band will be presented on January 1st, 2013.
