Reactions: Tony Sly's death

A number of bands have posted their reactions to the unexpected passing of Tony Sly of No Use For A Name earlier today. Here are some of them just to re-iterate the kind of influence this guy had on today's bands:

JT from Hawthorne Heights: "Tony Sly will always be one of my favorite song writers. He has influenced me very much, and I am glad to have seen he and NUFAN perform several times. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and anyone who loved him as musician. Rest In Peace. Sincerely. JT"

Punchline: "Punchline was lucky enough to tour with No Use for a Name. One thing that really stuck out to me on that tour was that everyone in that band treated us like friends even though we didnt know them before the tour. Sometimes the guys in the older bands like to treat the younger bands like they are just little kids who deserve no respect- but they didnt do that for even a second. great band- great tour- great dudes- you will be missed. this is a very sad day."

Fat Mike of NOFX: "One of my dearest friends and favorite song writers has gone way too soon. Tony, you will be greatly missed.”

August Burns Red: "Sad day today as lead singer/guitarist for legendary punk band No Use For A Name has passed away. Brent and JB have been fans since high school and we're grateful for all the great music that came from the mind of Tony Sly."

Lagwagon: "With the heaviest of hearts. Saddest of days. All of our thoughts are with Tonys family."
