Google has announced the addition of a download/upload service to their Google Music service, so it now works much like iTunes and other similar services except it allows independent artists to create their own band pages much in the same way as you can customize a Myspace page.

The service is still only available to residents of United States, but it is likely to become available in other countries as well in due time.
