Yesterday we reported that Slipknot were moving ahead with writing new material which they hoped to begin recording in the first half of 2011, according to the band's drummer Joey Jordison.

Those claims have since been rebuked by vocalist Corey Taylor, who maintains that while the band might tour together sometime soon, there are no concrete plans for a new album at this time.
