Clutch

It’s fucking Wednesday, and it’s finally Copenhell. But this one is a big one for me. So let’s go back to the beginning of my journey with Rockfreaks.

The first concert I reviewed was Clutch, and the first photographer I worked with was Stefan. So this interview became what will be known as a complete circle. So when the editor-in-chief, PP, asked if I had any interview requests. Clutch was the first band to come to mind. But Clutch has also always been a very consistent part of my life.

So on day 1, I cut work short and jumped out to Copenhell to catch up with my friends before I had to interview one of the biggest stoner rock bands our generation has to offer.

I met up with Stefan by the gates and texted their tour manager, who was such a fantastic sport, and came and got us and showed us the way to the interview location.

The interview took place in a container that was made up for the bands to chill and relax in. Stefan got ready to set up, and I felt my nerves set in. It felt like a moment that would end before it started. But no, it felt like time had slowed down in the best imaginable way.

But here we go. Wednesday, June 14th, we met with Neil Fallon to discuss everything they were up to now. After 32 years, they are probably one of the hardest-working bands. That tends to tour all the time.

We discussed their life and touring and that it was their second time at Copenhell. Either way, you can see the video of the full interview below.
