Panic! At The Disco

A Fever You Can´t Sweat Out

I can't think of any band that was hyped as much as Panic! At the Disco this year, except maybe Fall Out Boy. The craze about this group was unbelievable and only because of the fact that Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy had discovered them and signed them on his own label.

So does this album live up to all the hype? The answer is: Yes! "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" contains funky pop-punkish tunes with electronica elements added to the mix, and a singer that sounds almost like Patrick Stump of previously mentioned Fall Out Boy.

The song "London Beckoned Songs About Money Written by Machines" really says it all and I'm just going to quote a verse and the chorus: "Stop stalling, make a name for yourself. Boy you better put that pen to paper and charm your way out. If you talk you better walk you better back your shit up with more than good hooks while you're all under the gun? Well we're just a wet dream for the webzines, Make us it, make us hip, make us scene, Or shrug us off your shoulders, don't approve a single word that we wrote"

By reading the above, you might think that they are just a Fall Out boy clone, but except for the singing, there's little similarity. It's so damn funky it makes you want to dance on the spot.
