Lullabies To Paralyze

With "Lullabies To Paralyze", QOTSA are simply continuing from where they left off with "Songs For The Deaf". The only exception is that half of the members have left, including the second mastermind of the band; Nick Oliveri. It is easy to feel the absence of Nick from the new album in terms of the catchiness of the songs. Although there are some phenomenal songs like "Little Sister" or "In My Head" that will surely live on for many years, there are some songs that wouldn't ever have made it to "Songs For The Deaf". "Skin On Skin" and "Broken Box" are perfect examples of songs that simply lack the garage-melody present on songs like "First It Giveth" on the previous album. But all in all, a great followup for one of the best albums of 2002!
