Mew postpones "And the Glass Handed Kites" 15th Anniversary shows

Copenhagen, Denmark’s alternative / progressive rock darlings Mew have been forced, like so many other artists, to postpone their upcoming “And the Glass Handed Kites” 15th Anniversary shows, including the concert that was supposed to take place at K.B. Hallen in Frederiksberg on May 16th.


The new date for that gig is November 28th, and all tickets that were already purchased remain valid. There are also a few more still available over at Billetlugen.dk for 350 DKK (+ fees), with more information found in the official Facebook event.

Livløs reveals string of domestic appearances in September

Århus, Denmark-based melodic death metal group Livløs have confirmed three domestic appearances in the autumn.


The first of these will take place at an as-of-yet undisclosed venue in the band’s hometown on September 05th, with more details set to be provided soon.


The second show is booked for Pumpehuset in Copenhagen on September 09th and features support from Dirt Forge. Tickets can be purchased now from Billetto.dk for 115 DKK (+ fees), while more information is available in the official Facebook event.


The final concert will happen at Posten in Odense on September 11th and support will be provided by Dirt Forge as well as CABAL. Tickets are available for purchase here for 175 DKK a piece, while more details can likewise be found in the official Facebook event.


Livløs unleashed a new video single called “Rot & Ruin” in 2019, and as such the expectation is that the band will release the follow-up to 2018’s “Into Beyond” soon as well. Until then, you can watch or re-watch the aforementioned clip right here:

The new dates for Machine Head’s upcoming European shows celebrating the 25th Anniversary of their 1994 début album “Burn My Eyes” have now been officially announced, and the Danish stop at Århus venue Train will now take place on November 16th.

Braids announce Danish concert in December

Calgary, AB-based indie rock unit Braids have been booked for a concert at Lille VEGA in Copenhagen on December 06th.


Tickets cost 180 DKK (+ fees) and can be bought now from Ticketmaster.dk, while more details are available in the official Facebook event.


The show is part of a larger European tour in the making, the complete routing for which is yet to be finalised. You can view the gigs that have been confirmed thus far in our dates section, however.


Braids will release a new album titled “Shadow Offering” through Braids Musique and Secret City Records on June 19th, and you can watch the official music video for the track “Young Buck” from it below.

Tampa, FL’s symphonic rockers Set It Off have revealed the rescheduled dates for their European tour, which was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Support on all dates will be provided by Broadside and Cemetery Sun, except where otherwise noted in the routing below.

Lucifer cancels upcoming European tour & announces new shows

Stockholm, Sweden-born occult rock outfit Lucifer have canceled their upcoming European tour due to the Covid-19 pandemic, including the concert that was supposed to take place at Posten in Odense on May 23rd. Tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase, with more information available in the official Facebook event.


The band has, however, unveiled a string of new shows in the autumn, among them one at Godset in Kolding on November 21st. Tickets are on sale now via the venue’s website, costing 210 DKK a piece. For more details, check the official Facebook event.

Copenhagen, Denmark-resident atmospheric black metal crew ORM have announced a headlining concert at their hometown venue Hotel Cecil on November 06th, tickets for which are available now over at Ticketmaster.dk for 140 DKK (+ fees). For more information, see the official Facebook event.

Withering Surface announces new album: "Meet Your Maker"

Næstved, Denmark’s re-united melodic death metal outfit Withering Surface will release their comeback album “Meet Your Maker” — their first since 2004’s “Force the Pace” — through Mighty Music on June 19th. Further details about the Jacob Hansen-produced effort are still pending, but the band recently premiered the first single from it, “Leaves in the Stream”, along with a music video, which you can watch in the bottom of this article.
