Wacken Metal Battle Denmark has lifted the veil on the bands participating in this year’s contest for a final spot at the prestigious Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany this summer. Here’s how will be battling:

Zeal & Ardor reveal headlining Danish concert in August

Swiss-American avant-garde metal outfit Zeal & Ardor has revealed a headlining concert at Amager Bio in Copenhagen on August 28th.


Tickets for the show are priced at 275 DKK (+ fees) and will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. this Friday, April 26th via Ticketmaster.dk, while more details can be found in the official Facebook event.


The concert is part of a larger European tour in the making, the complete itinerary for which will be unveiled soon.


Zeal & Ardor will release their new full-length album “Grief” through Redacted on August 23rd, with pre-orders set to go live simultaneously with the ticket sales opening via the band’s official website. Danish classic hard rock outfit Freddy And The Phantoms have been revealed as the final act for this year’s edition of the Nordic Noise festival, which is set to take place at Kometen in Hvidovre on the outskirts of Copenhagen on May 10th and May 11th.

Danish fans can look forward to the supergroup playing their first ever concert at Pumpehuset in Copenhagen on May 30th, with sickOmania providing support.
