Bleeding Through

The Truth

Bleeding Through's third album "The Truth" skyrocketed after its release straight away to BillBoard's New Releases chart position number one, so what we're looking at here is one of the most anticipated metalcore records of the new year.

It's hard to see where all of the hype is coming from as Bleeding Through isn't doing anything someone else hasn't done before. Their straight-forward, thrash influenced metalcore riffs are catchy but too obvious, and the attempt to create a daunting atmosphere with highly tuned synths isn't anything that wasn't used on some of the first metalcore records five years ago. That being said, though, the band does create some intriguing, challenging music, and as long as you're not too bothered by the unoriginality, songs like "Kill To Believe" and "Dearly Demented" will enter and stay in your regular metalcore playlist for months to come.

Fans of Killswitch Engage and even those of Demiricious should find themselves at home on "The Truth". For others, it might just sound a bit too generic.
