Insect Ark has debuted a new single called “The Frozen Lake” below. It is taken from the Brooklyn, NY-based psychedelic doom metal ensemble’s upcoming record “Raw Blood Singing”, which was detailed in our earlier news story and will arrive through Debemur Morti Productions on June 07th.
Copenhagen, Denmark-resident progressive metallers VOLA have lined up a headlining European tour later this year, and their itinerary includes concerts at VoxHall in Århus on November 01st and at Store VEGA in Copenhagen on November 30th.
Tickets for the first show cost 270 DKK (+ fees) and will become available for purchase at 11:00 a.m. this Friday, April 26th via the venue’s website, while more details can be found in the official Facebook event.

Wacken Metal Battle Denmark has lifted the veil on the bands participating in this year’s contest for a final spot at the prestigious Wacken Open Air festival in Wacken, Germany this summer. Here’s how will be battling:
The Danish final will take place at Gimle in Roskilde on June 08th and you can find more information about it in the official Facebook event.
All of the rounds, including the final, will feature a headlining performance by last year’s winners Swartzheim, with Blood Red Throne also joining the festivities in Kolding.
